Pink Peeves

This section was made for two reasons. First, to educate new fans that might wish to engage in conversations with long-time fans on forums or chat or whatever, that these are things they can say that really pisses Floyd fans off. If you are new to Floydism, PLEASE read this, you will avoid a bad reputation and many flames. Secondly, this list was made for those fans who are sick and tired of hearing, "Which ones Pink?". You can e-mail your peeves to me and I will submit them with your permission and if you want, credit you for the peeve. So come in, lean back, and blow off some of that steam you’ve been holding back.

Peeve 1. "Which Ones Pink?"

This is the classic peeve. If you enjoy being flamed, post this and prepare to be burnt. This is a common mis-conception. The name Pink Floyd came from two Carolina blues artists named Pink Anderson and Floyd Council. They were some of Syd’s favorite artists.

Peeve 2. "I love that tune ‘We Don’t Need No Education’!"

The correct name for the popular version of this song is "Another Brick In The Wall Pt.2". This may not be as serious of a crime as Peeve 1 but it will definitely show that your Floyd knowledge could be touched up, and still could bring flames upon you.

Peeve 3. Gran"d"chester Meadows

There are some serious fans out there that are very sensitive when tittle spellings aren’t correct. The correct spelling is "Grantchester Meadows". I only warn you because I have been caught on this and it was a little embarasing.

Peeve 4. "ROGER WATERS IS GOD AND PINK FLOYD IS NOTHING WITHOUT HIM!!!!"

I’ve seen many a fan flamed out of forums and chats for posting this. Its great to have an opinion (we all do), but many Floyd fans look down on this. Its not fair to credit any one member of Pink Floyd for their work. Again, I can only warn you, some people like raising hell and that’s fine, just be ready.
